My grandmother would have taken the garden hoe to that, would not have mattered if he was holding it.
Nice Boa, what about 6 or 7 feet long.
Oct 29th 2009, 08:43 PM
Nope..... Green Anaconda 9 feet at that time.... Died at 12 feet.

Mama Beek would kill me if I had one of those!  that is, if she didn't kill the snake first. ;)
Oct 30th 2009, 07:16 PM
I'd probably kill ya both :hunter:

This is my favorite kitty in the whole world, he eats the snakes in the yard so I don't step on them and get bitten. He eats the mice in the barn to keep them out of the house.... if only we could teach him to stop hauling them inside with him to try and share with Little Man :o He's extra cuddly in the winter so my feet don't get cold in the bed too.
There's is Baby Beek's stray puppy that someone dumped in front of our house and she just couldn't turn her away.... she named her Dixie. The big doggie is the best pal in the world, our lab Buddy.

The lab is my dog and he is the best I ever had.

Here's one I posted awhile back in another thread. Lower right is Shelby, we lost her this year she was mine and a great friend, got her as a puppy. She was 12. The one on the chair is my older sons border collie lab mix named Shadow (this dog drives me nuts). The Golden is my wife's, his names Jake and he runs the show :-)
Don't have any pictures of the cats, they live outside and keep the house and barn mouse free  Their names are toodles, teddy, "that gray one", and "that orange one" :-)

Nice looking doggies everybody!

We were sitting on the patio Christmas afternoon, 2000 and sucking on wine (as we are want to do) when we heard a "mew". Found a starving, cold, afraid kitten. She was more hingry and cold than afraid. She's been with us 9 years.
We named her "Feliz" because we thought "Navidad" was a little pushy, even for a cat!

What handsome doggies Charles, your wife has excellent taste in retrievers. I would love to have a golden, but have fallen madly in love with my big black lab and am looking to get a yellow female as soon as we find the right one. Hubby over-ruled on my decision to get a Chesapeake bay retriever
I'm not normally a big fan of cats, but that pretty calico Walt B has would have persuaded me to take her in too.

Mama Beek, she is the most "dog like" cat I have ever seen. She demands human attention, petting, and games. Not the "stand off-ish" cats I am used to.
We don't allow her on the furniture, so every night after dinner I sit on the floor so she can lay in my lap. But, she's still a cat. Every once in awhile she has to "push the boundaries", she gets corrected, and we're good for a few more months. :D

Our kitty started out more like a dog than anything else. He even barked and NEVER mewed at all. Then we "baby sat" a friends cat for a couple of weeks and it ruined my cat, now he knows he is a cat and he believes that cats were created superior to every other living being in the house.... he believes that firmly all the way up until time to eat, then he's my bestest buddy.

Thank you, we love him. He's the "great protector" :-)

My cat Thomas acts more like a dog also, he will ride on the tractor with me and is not even afraid. I wear bib overalls most of the time and he will climb inside of the bib part for the ride.
He is a "cool cat" for sure.

My Philippino buddy says cats make good bar-be-que.

Ya know, the biggest difference between cats and dogs is that when you get a dog and you feed him and pet him and love him, the dog would say" they feed me and take care of me good, they must be God'.
Cats on the other hand, when you feed it and pet it and love it the cat would say to itself, "I must be God".
