My first grand child.I call her sweetie but she wants me to call her sweet heart. I can't do that because that is what I call her mom. She just had a birthday this week, shes 10 now.

A regular fish she is. From a swim meet December 19th Chippew Falls Wisconsin.

Ready for the back stroke. won her heat.

Breast stroke. she won her heat.

Free style. she won her heat too.

She won the medley to but gramps didn't get a picture as she was bumped up to do the breast stroke in a 14 year old relay as they were short one swimmer in that age class.

Over all she won the breast stroke class 8 to 9 year olds, It is her best stroke. She took 6 in the back stroke, 8th in the free and 3d in the medley.

The 14 year old relay took 6th place but sweetie held her own with the bigger girls.

When she was 5 grampa ran with her in a cross country race, It was a mile and a half. She takes great delight in telling people about leaving grand pa in the dust. She runs those races in the summer, she does well in her age class.

Yup I'm proud of her. Smart as a whip, but her brother and baby sister are too. she went to kindergarden for a week and came home and said I don't need to go to school any more mom I'm bored and know every thing the teacher wants us to do.
They lived in Minnesota then. Daughter tried getting her moved to first grade so she wouldn't be bored. since Minnesota didn't have a gifted program till (if I remember right) till after 3 grade the daughter had a battle. She found other parents with the same problem and got it fixed. Took about 4 months.
So she is a grade ahead of her age and is at a 12 grade reading level, we can't keep her in books. She is at a 6th grade math level.

Her brother (5) has just started swiming. We'll see how he does in the future.
