one I might guess everyone knows the marine corp emblem that is so prominent on their silly little hats. I would guess you might also know that the Marine Corp is (or at least was to recent time) a part of the US Navy. So us swabby had a saying that the Marine Corp emblem was a crow, setting on a beach ball wishing they were in the US Navy.
