Teflon tape?

I've got a Dadant 20 framer that I bought a couple years ago. Didn't get a chance to use it yet because we sold our house, had to move, and the place we have rented doesn't have an area to set it up. When I got it, it had an old piece of 2" pipe threaded into it that looked all rusty on the inside. I got rid of the pipe and bought a new 2" nylon threaded honey gate.
My question is, when I thread this into the extractor, should I use teflon tape on it or do I not have to with the nylon to S/S connection? :confused:

No need for the tape. The nylon will mold to fit the ss threads.

no tape needed, just do not over tighten. If you do decide to use tape, again do not over tighten, and only 3 to 4 wraps are needed. The teflon is so slick you can easily over tighten the joint and break the nylon gate off.
