I know some say that they never see bees on goldenrod. So I thought I would share a few on some goldenrod in the backyard.

There is ton's of goldenrod here and you never see bees working it. There have been times i have seen bees working a small clump in a fence row and they will visit that same clump every day till it goes to seed? There will be the same goldenrod on both sides of this clump but the bees never touch it. This fall i have seen the bees working Iron weed,i have never seen them work it before, sure has been a strange year. Jack

Well i'll have to eat my words.(but that's a good thing) The bees are all over the goldenrod this year? the aster is in full bloom and there are 10 to 15 bees on every bush  Looks like we are having a fall flow, but we need a rain to keep it going. I'm working the bee booth at the farm fest from noon to five pm today, so i'll get alot of bee talk in. Jack
