A friend of mine (Also a well known Beek) recently added downspouts to his raingutters. Results may be seen in the attached photos. I feel that some of you may like to offer some advice.

Tell your friend to stay off ladders. I don't think he knows how to operate that high-speed equipment.

Aluminum decorations are always added to the sides of houses where I am. (Usually artistically painted plaques, but I'm certainly not an art critique.)

What's the problem? I see easy access to future gutter cleaning!

Well, he'll always be able to find the ladder in the future.

At least he won't tipple over backwards. :yahoo:

I can't help but note that we all assumed it was a "he"...

Of course. She's too smart to do something like that. :thumbsup:

Even if she did it, she would blame it on him... :o

The positive , no one will steal that ladder and there will always be an escape from the second floor now..

one of the worst cases of "nws" i have seen in quite a while....he needs a week to fish and hunt to alleviate symptoms....
nws = nagging wife syndrome

No assumption--
I stand corrected! My subconscious is more observant than my conscious, I guess...

I can't possibly imagine someone making a mistake like that! ;)
Now going out and buying a house that needs twice the amount of work and $$$ you thought, well that was a whole lot easier than I thought! :shock: :oops: :roll:
Mistakes like the one pictured are ones I would relish!

I like how he added a permanently placed ladder to make it easier to clean the gutter out where the downspout is and usually clogs.
