Anyone with experience collecting pollen have pollen trap designs they'd be willing to share?

Hey Ben, I bought 2 of those Sundance bottom type pollen traps but have yet to use them. I looked them over really good and there is no way I could build anything that even comes close. There are parts hidden that I can't even figure out. There is a "top" that prevents pollen from falling into the tray and it blocks the view inside.

I like the sundance I have. I also have a Dadant I like although it does collect more debris in the pollen than the sundance. Someday when things slow down I will see If I can model up some prints.

I talked to a local dealer today about ordering the Sundance Pollen trap. I'm interested in the one that sets on the hive bottom and has the front opening that you can close off. It also has the removable drawer in the back. I am going to call him next week to place an order.

Does anyone collect the pollen to give it back to the bees later in the fall?
