The other day I was weeding the flower garden, and heard a chewing sound. I tracked it down to this little bee on the lamb's ear's, who appeared to be chewing a path in the leaf fuzz. Startled the bee and it took off, then hovered, with what looked like a mouthful of white fluff, then off it went. There was a little squiggly bare trail left on the leaf.
I had no idea what it was but (gotta love Google!) did an internet search and found the "wool carder bee," which is a type of leaf-cutter that collects leaf fuzz for its nest.
There's always something new to find...
