Biography:
We keep honey bees in the mountains of North Carolina. We recently moved to our cabin in the forest. We enjoy the spiritual side of learning from God's amazing creations. We have a team of Siberian Huskies and are all learning to mush together! Papa Cheveyo, Momma Fresa, Kajla Lamb, Kota Peace, Kamana Miracle, Saima Grace, Nerri Hope, Kuvia Joy and Brother Peter

Good Inspections - June 30, 2012

6 great hives!
Flower Power, Old Faithful, Garden Party, Magic Bus and Candy Land
All laying, working and growing.
The sixth, Flower Child,
the newest split may not have raised a successful queen.
We gave her a frame of queen cells and eggs to do the bee thing with.

Swarm Above the Queen Excluder

She and a sister(s) must have emerged overnight.
3 Cells were sealed yesterday.





Today, we find a swarm above the queen excluder,
Attached to the inner cover,
Virgin queen and all!
My tool is pointing to the little queen,
But she is moving fast.
