Brush Your Tounge
Sometimes I manage to get close to a critter that seems to be half asleep and when it wakes up it doesn't know that I'm close. So it goes about it's normal routine, like brushing it's tongue (or in this case a proboscis). I'm trying something new with this post: If it works then you can click in the image to get to the same photo on my Deviant Art gallery. Once there if you click on the photo on my DA page you can see a much larger version.

Re: Brush Your Tounge
Looks good from a distance. Any chance of getting a close up?
Between you and Bcrazy, we have some of the finest bee photos I have ever seen.

WOW! Great photo.
Is that a mite top center of her head, or is that part of her?

Re: Brush Your Tounge
Thanks folks

That's one of her simple eyes, and there are three arranged in a triangle pattern and she uses them to detect the direction of an approaching predator so she knows which way to move to avoid an attack.
