It is fall, October 19th, in the Atlanta, GA area. I am new at bee keeping and have a question about my bees coming in with or without nectar. My bees are very active now. I see allot coming in with pollen and many without. Do the bees without pollen have nectar or are they just coming in for a break?
thats just normal activity..bees leave the hive to take a dump literally , so not every bee leaving has to come back with pollen...just take a peek inside to see if they will have enough stores for the colder weather and if not start feeding them..
How is your rainfall, what do you have in bloom, and are your hives gaining weight. If they are not you will need to feed syrup at least.
