I was not online as much this summer, I typically am too busy to be on much in the spring but I make up for it in the summer.

3 years ago my big old rottie mix got a mast cell tumor, I discovered when he was chewing his foot and I asked my vet to needle biopsy the foot. she didn't biopsy the foot but she did 3 lumps, and one was mast cell. since his foot was itching due to the histamine it throws off, it had metastasized. I had surgery done on him 3 days later, he looked like dying afterward. So I went online and asked around a couple of dog health forums and they sent me to look at a turmeric group on Facebook, which I did. And I learned to cook turmeric paste and give antihistamines and my old dog lived almost 3 more years. But he died first week of August. fighting cancer is time consuming, and letting go of a dog I'd had for 8.5 years was pretty painful. But I gave him a good shot and he didn't just live, he lived well for those 3 years. He rode in my truck and went and saw grandkids and was the ambassador of rottie at the feed store, and he felt good up until this past spring. I switched meds around and did what I could but he was tired.

Anyway, I'm starting to get the yard and the business and the bees caught up, will see if I can be around a little more often. This is Bronx in his younger days. He was a beauty. (he was probably half Bernese Mountain dog, that's where the hair came from.)

Sorry for your loss..my dogs are more than just family to me, I value their lives more than most humans I know and would save them first if I was faced with that choice..best therapy is to go out and adopt a new pup or young dog from the pound and give a new lease on life..I also started using the turmeric paste when we chatted about it awhile back, but am guilty of not keeping up with it, I will get back to giving it to my dogs this week, I have been busy with having both hips replaced this summer and my dad passed away in may and other little lifes issues..I can say my plate has been overflowing this year...

I am getting better. Better he be at rest than in pain. The cancer fight was long and keeping him out of pain and discomfort this summer was hard. Sonic burgers are a great anesthetic, he really enjoyed outings. Now I've got bills to catch up on and work to catch up on. Thank you all for listening

sonic is a treat. It is just a plain burger, and I foster some pretty scared and neglected pups that sometimes have to go to the vet a lot. My truck is loud and scary, vet's offices are scary, so a dollar for a sonic burger produces a dog that WANTS to get in the truck the next time, and that helps get them ready for new homes.

And now I'm back again. I lost a granddaughter sunday evening, the SUV she was a passenger in try to cross a 70 mph highway in front of a semi. It almost worked, she and another girl were in the back seat. She died at the scene. She was 17, just graduated high school early, just registered for college.

I'm trying some new stuff with my bees and hope to post in a few days

Thank you all.

17 is so young. I went down and learned more about the wreck on Tuesday. Semi impact was drivers side left, semi had right of way on a 70 mph stretch of highway. Driver was playing chicken.

And my granddaughter knew she should have called her mom for a ride. She messaged her friend on facebook that she was afraid to ride with this guy but it curfew time and she needed to get home.

Killed 2 girls, the other one was 18 and pregnant.

I am sorry to my bees for forgetting to move their syrup jars off top until it was about 40 and dropping below freezing, I haven't made fondant, I haven't been through them, and I'm working on the truck in the morning first. I am just getting through this. I have 5 other grandchildren.

I'm getting a little better. Went to youngest daughter's graduation from UTA today. She almost cancelled walking due to the tragedy, I'm glad she didn't, she's worked hard for this for the last 5 or 6 years. 6 I think, and held a nearly full time job for most of it. I was proud to go and see her graduate

Thank you all for your support and prayers. It;s been a pretty rough year
