It's been about a month since my first hive swarmed which I captured and introduced into a new hive,so I decided to have a look this morning to see how everyone is doing. the swarm capture hive is thriving, the number of bees inside it compared to a 3lb package amazes me at the point, I truly believe the other package I bought back in April merged with this hive somehow as they were set close to eachother and the new package abandoned their queen cage with her still inside except maybe 200 bees or so. as far as the original hive left behind from the swarm, they are lower in numbers clearly but have plenty of honey stores and both capped and uncapped brood present, so that hive is doing well.
