I really need to get into the hives today and see what's going on and arrange things. It's 59F, cloudy and damp. It rained some this morning, but that's over with. It's a good day as far as keeping cool in the bee suit. But how do you think the bees will take it. They don't seem to be flying much, so I'd guess they're mostly all at home.

If they're all mostly at home, don't go in there. It'll be painful. If you *absolutely* cannot wait, then you could go in double layered and make sure your veil is secure and wear thick gloves. But if it could wait a day or two that would be best.

If you will still be able to type.
The bees will let you know right away if you should continue or not.

Depends on the bees if they are super genital and don't seem to get agitated easily, use smoke and be a smooth operator and all will go well. If on the other hand they have been aggressive oh good days they could be worse today. Good luck tho.

    hehehe

Actually, I've decided just to wait. Maybe it'll be warmer tomorrow or in a few days. I'm sitting here contemplating starting a fire in the fireplace.

greg, a good choice and my sentiments today as well....

seems apis has more on his mind today as well, spell check is a good friend more often than not....

from this thread as omie pointed out:
"Depends on...if they are super genital and don't seem to get agitated easily, use smoke and be a smooth operator and all will go well... Goog luck tho."

and another thread today (last inspection for the year: what to do):
"It doesn't take long for dead bees to mold so clean out dead out colonies ASAP genital tapping the frames will remove some or the bees form in the cells."

sorry to sidetrack your thread greg, and sorry apis, i couldn't help it, i wasn't quite as bold as omie to point it out

so some humor for you greg as you sit by the fireside.......
