My son had a experience today that he said made his day ... He is a scuba instructor,, and today one of the students was a 17 year old girl .. she is wheelchair bound ,and is autistic and paraplegic. she has a hard time controling the power chair ....when they put her in the water , he said that she was laughing and smiling .. when they were going to put her back in the water she kind of pushed herself , so she fell in ,, but all she did was laugh.. she had the time of her life .. he's looking forward to the next .two classes with her .. she did real good moving around in the water..she made it worth working on a saturday . :yahoo:
That sounds like a win win situation for all involved. Most times it is the little things that make the biggest difference. G3
It sounds like the young lady was enjoying her freedom of movement and a new and different experience than what for her is the norm. I enjoy the water too.
