No bees at this time, I am interested in setting up within the year.

My wife and I have been on our 20 acres for about three years and have been working on the garden and getting the animals going.

:hi: Glad to have you with us. Winter is a good time to start planning for hives by studying up on the subject. You might even have a nice time reading through assorted threads on the forum. It's not llike studying from a textbook. Take your sense of humor with you when you sit down to read. We'll be glad to answer your theoretical questions now and your practical ones in the spring when you start caring for hives.

Welcome to the form Kg7il, and thanks for introducing your self. There are a few members on the forum that are keeping bees on the wet side of Washington and Oregon. And a few of on the dry side of the state And I myself am on the Canadian side of the Okanagan Valley, but have similar conditions to the dry side beekeepers of Washington.

Welcome from the wet side of the UK. (my doffing cap icon seems to be on holiday).

You will be able to smile gently to yourself when you read of members suffering drought. The flip side is when you're gnashing your teeth because your poor bees can't get out because of the rain.

When it's pouring, say a silent prayer for our member from Israel.

Welcome :hi:I'm in the dry part of Texas. Wait, most of Texas is the "dry part of Texas". I'm in the central dry part, near Waco.
