Does anyone know the effects of what they are spraying in Dallas to kill the mosquitos in combating the West Nile Virus the media seems to be so scared of? My first worry was for the beekeeps in that area. They say its not harmful to gardens and farm animals but are encouraging folks to cover plants and put animals away 'just in case'. Hope the Texas bees aren't getting the brunt of this mosquito assault.....here is a link.

Whoops! Nevermind, just saw the same thread in General Beekeeping. What a bummer, toxic to honeybees, aquatic life, so on and so forth. Figgers. Election-year politicians will try anything to look good in front of their constituents to gain a few votes....hope all you central Texas beeks fare well with the spraying.
