Brought the original hive home on 4-20 (they only let me do the original trap for 6 days).

6-23 Got a call on that the bees were back, I informed them that they had never left and would come and set up the trap out again for free but they would have to stay a minimum of 30 days this time.

7-15 Checked on them and found a mated queen but no eggs yet. Several queen cells that were pretty much torn down.

7-22 Checked again but did not go into the hive, several bees bringing in pollen so all seems well from the landing board. Found three of the queens where they had been killed and thrown out the front door laying on the metal steps. Just about time to bring these gals home, maybe in a week or so.

yes, would have pulled the screen cone today but did not have any tools with me, I nailed the plywood onto the block wall with 4 concrete nails. Should have done it last time I was there but did not, this one is about 25 miles form the house and try to take a look at it when I have to go into town.
