My 1st year of beekeeping I used cinder blocks and the ants had easy access (here in Geiorgia we have many, many Varieties... I think the ones that invade the hives are sugar ants)
the 2nd year I made wood tables and with the use of Vaseline on the legs it was tougher for ants...
This year I will use PVC pipes cemented in ground with steal grating as my table... I may use plastic bowls tipped upside down with Vaseline coating…
