I love the old muscle cars, we have a 69 cougar sitting in the garage that has gone from show quality to 1/4 mile club clasher to garage ornament...
the cougar is awesome, but the old mopar 440 wedge superbee was a real rockin road burner, came from the factory all hopped up.my cousin ran into a roadblock on old 52 close to the louisiana line, they say blue flames were visible just before impact at 160 mph.....this just happens to be vanishing point!
1969, on the autobahn in Germany, where there is no speed limit, I was riding in a 1961 Mercedes 4-door sedan with an 80 year old man driving. At 165, I cautiously asked if he was in a hurry. He said "no, are you", and kicked it. I finished half a beer, popped the top on another, and finished it as we approached 200. I quit looking after that.
