I was just curious the ratio of males to females in bee keeping so take the poll and comment at will!

How does one vote if he's a "drone" with a she-bee personality (in respect to beekeeping)?:rolling:

So I voted as a "drone" with all the reservations I have about the negative implications carried with the term.

    From riverbee's comment below:

"You should have added Queen." Every woman is either a queen or a princess, according to their ages.

One of my old pals just reunited with his 15 year old daughter due to divorce proceedings in the court room. She had not lived with him for the past three years, and he told me he didn't really know how to relate to a teenage daughter. I told him "she's a girl, tell her she's pretty, has nice hair, wears nice perfume, yada, yada, ..... Take her out to dinner and let her chose the place." Treat her like a princess. It ain't hard.

Lazy shooter, If I started in with that kind of malarkey my wife would have said "ok, what are you up to?"

Hey Crofter, they all know you want something, but the "malarkey" as you call it will enhance the prospect of getting what you want. Aren't you ever hustled a bit by the ladies, and if so, even if you know they are "blowing smoke" you still enjoy it.

I'm a drone, but I do all the outside work. My queen does all the inside work & we have two wonderful little worker bees that help inside & out while grumbling the whole time about it. They keep complaining that they are working so hard that they will only live a couple more weeks. LOL!

My oldest graduates high school in about three weeks, so should I consider moving him to a scout bee?

I noticed when we picked up the bees, I was one of the few "she's" there.

Me too as does my wife. I just hope our wives don't escort us Drones out of the nice comfy hive and out into the cold to starve to death come wintertime.

How about when the drone is out cruising and "gets lucky." This success leads to his immediate demise. I guess one would leave on a happy note, but one would still leave. A male yes, a drone no.

I suggest re-naming the thread. I think all the "she-Bees" on the forum are really queens.

My wife knows I worship the ground she walks on! (yes, she does read here from time to time)
Every day that I come home and find the locks haven't been changed is a blessing.
