I'm building my 3rd topbar hive. Whats the general consensus regarding bar width, 1 1/4" 1 3/8' or ?? I'v heard all sorts of widths so I'm asking here. Thanks!

    Per Micheal Bush (Bushfarms.com):
Frame widths used to be 1 1/2 for honey and 1 1/4 for brood. 1 3/8 is a compromise width.

thanks for the quick response, so I should have 1 3/8" space between each comb. That's what I have in my existing hives. I had some cross combing last season but that could be attributed to my lack of knowledge and fear of screwing up my hive. I'm learning, more and more, and this season should be better, both for me and my bee's.

The bee space between the drawn out combs should be 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch.
