    Is there enough detail in this picture to tell what kind of bees these are?

    sorry had to say it. Couldnt resist. They appear to look like mutts of the apis mellifera genrie. :thumbsup: Or maybe 3 banded italians

    They could be everything from Italians to Russians, and a mix in between.

    You can probably cross off carnolians, caucasian, and the various types in those categories. They are much darker. Or at least they should be. ;)

    Make sure you specify honey bees. You, me, and everyone here probably get the same response-"I hate bees, or, I'm scared of bees"
    I probably educate 2 or 3 dozen people a week on the difference between our girls and wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, etc.
