hii, i am new to bee stuff, although i used to watch a lot of such info and videos, but hand on un prepared is different.
Last night a swarm of honey bee nested on apple tree just 1 fence beside my allotment.
Unprepared, i just use what i got- a styrofoam box with lid. i make a portion of bee dropped into the box, couldnt do the rest of the bee, hence place the box on ground beside the tree; in my part of allotment. left the lid slight open so the bee can go out and in.. lately is hot, today can goes up to 28c in germany. i dont want to cook the bee that are in the hive.

now there are 2 portion of bees gatherings. 1 in the box, the other still on the tree limb. i had stand on ladder to see where the queen is, but can find it. So now, i hav no idea where the queen bee is and no idea whats going to happen..

Anyone please advice.

As i noticed the bee slowly build up on the tree branches again, i tried 2nd time to brush the bees fr the banches into another styrofoam box, this time it made them mad (it is the hottest part of the day), got several stings and they kept buzzing around my face even after i left the along for 1/2 hr..
how can you tell where is the location of queen bee? is it the spot where bees piles up?
