I was browsing a Betterbee catalog when I saw a Beemax hive for sale. I wondered what it was and my research didn't help me much. What are the pros and cons of one? Should I buy a Beemax or a wooden hive? Thanks for your help!
Yes they would insulate from the winters cold. BUT I bet wood boxes with a stryfoam sheath around it in the winter would last 10 times longer. best to just cover the wood box with snow, ma natures insulation.
it is amazing how much stuff is sold via the anthropomorphic nature of man.
