I had spread some of the cappings etc from my latest honey harvest on a bottom board under a covered shed so the bees could clean them up. It's been raining a slow, much needed, rain all day here and as I went to the barn noticed a lot of bees on the cappings. I went back and got my camera and took these pictures. It was not a pouring rain but harder than you'd want to stand in for any length of time. I finished some work inside the barn and when I came out an hour later even more bees were present. I watched them for several minutes and they were leaving and arriving bees all during that time. I was surprised to see them working in the rain with the nearest hive over 100 feet away.
