Beetle Traps...

    Where do I put my beetle traps? Which Hive body do I put them in?

    I prefer just under the inner lid or laying on the bottom board, depending on type of trap.

    If you have beetle blasters or AJ's beetle eaters, put them on the top hive body so that you don't have to dig through the hive every time you want to check/refill the oil.

    I place my cd case traps under the inner cover on top of the frames of the top box. Thought about sliding one on the bottom board but as I run screened bottom boards that they may not work so well there. Jim

    I use the AJ's and put one on the bottom brood box in one corner and then one in the top box.
