Buying Queens

    Has anyone ever purchased queens from Bostic Hills Farm in Alabama, and how did they do in your area? I orderd 15 monday.

    I know this doesn't really apply to you folks down south that are already planning on raising your queens. Around here you can't purchase local queens until the beginning of June (at the earliest). If you want to make splits before blueberry bloom (around June 1st) you almost assuredly have to buy offshore. They are available in late April and most of May.
    I just ordered 10 from Hawaii. Are you ready for this? $29 each :shock: (they kept the price the same as last year).
    The upside however, is that a good nuc fetches $150. :Dancing:
    Just some info for those curious as to how things work for us up here. :wave:
