As I am challenged in this computor, digital everything age, It has taken me until now to realize that my little camera has a macro function!
This is my very first attempt at close up pics of bees about a mile from home in an orchard just starting to blossom.

They were done in a rush and there were so many bees flying around I couldn't seem to pick which ones to take pictures of!
I hope to get better with practice.

I bet your camera takes videos too and you don't know it either.
Love my macro setting!

Also, when posting, hit enter twice between pic links and the blank line will separate the pics so they don't run together.

Awesome pics! PerryBee! Filming bees is amazing fun! Sometimes I will take 100 pics and get two good ones - other times all the moons and stars align and I get a bunch...The funnest part is taking them! Editing them...blah! Good job!:thumbsup:

This is just the beginning of apples. We have the Apple Blossom Festival up here in the Annapolis Valley in a couple of weeks. The hills around here are just beginning to turn colour like crazy. Biggest parade of the year too. Amazing to see.

No, my bees are still back in Lunenburg (south shore) but I hope to move most of them in less than a month. The only downside to all the beauty is I have been witness to orchard spraying. I have never seen anything like it! Tractors going up and down rows of apples spraying mist looks like 30 - 40 feet in the air. Wipers going on the tractors and you can hardly tell what colour they are when they're done.
No sir, my hives won't end up anywhere near orchards that do that. There are plenty of orchards that have been let go for years, no spray, etc. away from the prime orchards, I will look there.

That sure sounds like a lot of poison being sprayed into the air, and just think.........we are eating that crap!

Good luck on moving your hives and finding a clean orchard.

I have discovered that our camera does have video and my wife in fact has used it before. I can probably figure out how to take video but that would open up another whole can of worms, how to post 'em.
Besides, I figure you all must be getting tired of looking at my pretty face, never mind having to listen to me drone on about stuff!
