Was just going to have 1 hive. Within 2 weeks I have 3. When does it stop?

    Love these little fellas.

And the folks have such desperation in their voice when they call.

well actually they ain't fellas they is girls.

gosh... the kind of things us proper southern folks have to describe to yankees.

in almost any place there is a primary swarm season and after some magical date the number of swarm call quickly goes to zero. in some years (last year here was a good example) there are no swarm calls since the bees are in such terrible shape the last thing they do is swarm (typically absconding from a hive or tree due to starvation).

When the swarm calls stop coming in the cut out calls will pick up.

The more desperation in the voice the more you can charge, just kidding of course.
