Sorry I meant to post this last night but ran out of time :)

I'm doing some troubleshooting with the chatbox, I've heard from another member that they are having trouble with it bouncing around and I've noticed personally that it tends to bounce around a little in firefox when there are images in the chat, usually to the middle of the chats or beyond. I don't want to remove images, those good morning / afternoon / evening gifs are awesome!

I've basically reversed the order so the newest are at the top, since they are at the top I figured the best place for adding a new chat should be at the top. I also doubled the size of the viewable area so we can see better.

I'd like to leave it like this for awhile and see if that bouncing problem persists, if anyone has trouble post it here or send me a PM. Thanks for your patience!

    Charles

BAH. HUMBUG.... I suppose after it takes this old codger a month to settle into the new, you'll revert back to the old.

Einstein once said change is the only constant ;-) If the chatbox stops bouncing around then it will stay on top (keeping my fingers crossed)

Just joking, Charles. Do what you need to do to make it work.

I know :) I'm pretty confident that reversing it will fix it.

What happened to the tone or "dink" when somebody posted? Have not heard that in quite awhile.

When reading the chat box, I move to the first displayed post then up in sequence, trying to make sense of the comments. Perhaps for me, the oldest at the top would be best.

I takes a little getting used to... It does make more sense the way it is now though, everything else on the forum is newest at the top.

    charles,
is it just me, or is the chat box history at full page, not as large as it used to be, meaning does not show as many chats as it used to? hope i made sense with my question, and thank you!

No it should be the same, the box shows 15 on the home page and 30 on the full page.

Now that I can help on, but only a little :) I set it so that the icons start to bump into each other at 1024x768. Hope that helps, it increased about 35%!

    fixed

chat box doesn't load for me in google chrome browser but it does in Firefox. I don't waste my time with IE so I don't know about that.

    UPDATE:

It was on my end. browser app needed updating. my version of chrome on Linux isn't catching up but newly updated Firefox is just fine and Chrome on Windows is good too.
