cloudy honey

    I had a bucket of honey that needed to be put into jars, it looks cloudy, grainy but still taste good. I guess it is turning to a solid. Any thoughts. RB

    I guess so, too.

    Heat it to 100 to 125 F. and it will clear.

    How about the microwave for 30 seconds, that cleared it up but maybe too hot! RB

    Killed all the enzymes and other goodies.
    Must heat slowly. 150 to 160 degrees starts the damage.

    yep turning to sugar crystals. A double boiler works the best or some kind of heat box with a couple of 100 watt light bulbs. Iddee is right though, slow is best.
