I robbed a few frames from the hives today. the honey came out very cloudy. I took a few frames about a month ago and it was clear. why would this batch be different? the frames were fully capped. there seems to be a lot of little bits of wax in it too. is there a way to clear it up or did I do something wrong. first year so not sure why the big difference. any ideas?

I used a hand crank extractor that holds two frames at a time. scratched off the caps just ike last time.

Leave the honey gate at the bottom of the extractor open while extracting, and let the honey drain thru a strainer into the bottling pail.
What you're probably seeing is minute air bubbles in the honey.

Just strain it and let it sit for a couple days. It will clear itself up.

Mine looked like that too a few weeks ago..like was said above, just let it sit and it will clear up. I also filtered my honey through a double layer of cheesecloth and it came out sparkling clear.

Dont let the jokers tell you it will clear up. Better send it to Kansas. People here love cloudy honey and with the flow we had this year im thinking I can sell it. Make a deal you buy the jars I bottle and sell and we split 75 25 with the 75 comming this way :Dancing: :D

Got 4 locations for ocean front property north south east and west state lines. However you will need special glasses to see the ocean. But dont fret bring the cloudy honey and for an additional 50 bucks I can get you in with and optometrist that can get you fixed up for a small fee with special glasses. :hi:  :Dancing:
