We all know that every year, beekeepers lose an unacceptable number of colonies. Over the years there have been many scientific studies trying to identify reasons. Well there is a new approach being done by the Bee Informed Partnership (BIP). They are turning to the beekeepers to provide the answers. Each year they survey the beekeepers asking about winter losses and management techniques. The information is then analysed to look for what worked and didn't.

The more beekeepers that complete the survey, the more robust and stronger the conclusions which can be made. As beekeepers we have a vested interest in this project and we can be part of the solution. If you would like to learn more, register for a free webinar and on March 27 hear Dennis vanEngelsdorp (BIP Project Director) explain the details of the project, survey, and the results.
