I'm a complete novice and will start next spring with two colonies. I have been reading everything I can get my hands on for having healthy colonies but I have a quick question. I have an old 10x10 chain link dog kennel we are not using. Is there any reason why putting the kennel around the colonies is a bad idea? Cant find anything either good or bad on the net. Thanx

sure that would keep many of the predators away from the hives..there is no reason not to use the kennel for that advantage...

what I plan to do on a remote colony with cattle and goats and raccoons, will find a kennel this winter and get it set up before spring.
