Confused Christmas Cactus

    Ha! Mine does that sometimes on the oddest months. My grandma and mom used to put those in a dark basement or summer certain times of the year to keep them on schedule but I don't remember when. Beautiful bloom when they do emerge though...

    Funny, my wife chrismas cactus starting blooming in Dec. and has not stoped, never did this before, there are blooms on it now.

    Mine is a faithful "Thanksgiving cactus." I think they just have their own personalities!

    i'm with hobie on them having their own personalities.......i had one last year that started blooming in september? had never happened before, and it didn't stop blooming until january or february i think. this past fall it didn't bloom at all? what's up with that? have had the cactus for years, and really enjoy it.

    nice pic jb, mine started blooming last month, still going strong, it's a light red/pink, its quite large now, real pretty, will have to post a pic.....:grin:

    Maybe "Surprise Cactus" is a better suited name.
