No this is a whole new bottom board that has had years of work put into it to stop the small hive beetles at the entrance before they get into the hive, and if they do make it in then the bees will chase them down the holes in the corrugate into diatomaceous earth or oil in the tray underneath. It has been proven to catch at least 80% of the beetles at the entrance.

Eh, another miracle cure snake oil product..I like to play devils advocate on any of these products..beetles just dont enter the hive from the front entrance, like all the products for beetle control they all do some none do all. they look like nice bottoms but very pricey, you claim it eliminates the hive beetle, do you have that as a guarantee in writing?

a lot of things do work, but not worth a huge pricetag.
