Crazy weather...

    well for my area of long island this cold is semi normal, if one even knows what normal is anymore, so woke up and about 4 inches of snow on the ground and more to come, the wind is howling out there....how about all you southerners..who is getting to see snow and freezing temps that you never did before? any special preps for the bee hives before this cold front moved in?

    Ours never lasts too long here, I just make sure they have fondant and a winter lid on, stuff up gaps around screened bottom board sticky's . It's thawing out today. Main thing isn't the cold, it's the condensation. Trying some little gadgets about as thick as a penny on the top of one hive to improve ventilation, under the inner cover and sticky. I'm nervous, will check hives Sunday and see how things went
