Does anyone happen to know the size nut required for the bellows posts on a 4x10 Dadant smoker? Somewhere, I lost one of mine and would like to get it replaced before I lose other. It already feels like one of those easy fixes that requires 15 trips to the hardware store trying out one nut size after another OR the purchase of 20 10-packs of every possible nut!

    Thanks for any help.

its probably a machine screw, just bring the smoker to ace hardware or home depot to match up the proper size nut, and you can use some locktight on the threads to keep the nut from losening up in the future..

I also heard back for Dadant. The nut is:

"#6-32 thread, but are unique in that the lockwasher is attached to the nut itself." Dadant is actually sending me a couple (no cost to me).

I suppose it is another reason to buy a Dadant smoker?!
