I've got other things I need to be thinking on but this came to mind. This is just thinking out loud, for what it's worth....

I was wondering if a robber screen would confuse SHB as they do robber bees, yj, at the like, possibly denying them entry into the hive. From what I've read, SHB tend to fly in quickly and apparently going by smell are dang good at zooming quickly through the front entrances. If a robber screen was made of window screening rather than #8 mesh would the beetles focus on entering the original opening (blocked by the window screen) or would they find the "hidden" entrance easily?

I got to thinking about this when I was reading some of Walt B's and Iddee's comments on using robber screens to help when mowing the grass.

Maybe it'll work for wax moths too.

Interesting, but it doesn't confuse bull ants.
