Dog fennel

    There are large open areas in vacant lots in the area where I live in central Florida that have substantial growth of dog fennel does it generate nectar and is the honey worth eating, or is it an significant source of nectar.

    I have never seen it sorry, not sure if bees hit it or not

    this time of year Barry you want to be looking to move hives on Brazilian pepper, thats the next big flow

    http://essmextension.tamu.edu/plants/plant/dogfennel/ though this is for Texas, we also have it bees seem to avoid it like the plague honey is bitter. But they are both wide spread, and grow very densely once well established. Brazilian peppers are close to me looking forward to it.
