Went to check bees on Saturday, and found one of my hives swarming. Waited to see where they will rest, and luckily it was branches of fallen cedar, four feet from the ground. It was easy retrieval.Gave them frame of honey, and frame of brood in the middle. Usually swarming season, in this part of Ontario, starts after 15th of May. Guess, this year everything is two weeks earlier.

Why is it 9 times out of 10 the swarms I go to are over 20' in the trees? I would do summersaults if I ever went to a swarm call under 8'.
