Figuring I'd get rid of a few plants that in areas I did not want them in, I thought now would be a good time to dig them up before the plants grew too much. This is a root system of about 6 inches long (deep) and about 10 inches across. The rest of the tap root broke off, and the side shoots went everywhere. This stuff is nasty to get rid of.

And this is the vetch that gives no nectar!

Would constant mowing work or would that just kind of hold it back? I have a Master Gardeners meeting in the morning, I could ask about what would be the most environmentally friendly.

Well I asked at the meeting and the only option other than digging or mowing until it gave up and died was round-up or the like. Sorry. I wish I could be more help.

I would never suggest diesel fuel. It isn't legal. :twisted:
