Well not much to report... I think I already told everyone I got another 50+ lbs of honey last week. Still have to bottle it this week. Still busting my butt on the house...down to the plumbing in the addition then insulation and rough inspections later this week/early next week. Then back at wonderful drywall.

I'm a dieheard Deer Hunter and only been out twice the past 15 days since the season started and I need to just sit out in the woods and watch the deer, wildlife and nature just to keep myself sane! Lmao!

So with all that said...here's two of my favorite photos I took from my deer blind....I call them...

    My Beehives and Fall Colors!

Don, those shots are inspirational. You've got a beautiful slice of God's world to enjoy there. Maybe it's a blind for the deer, but for humans it's an eye opener. :coolphotos:

Absolutely perfect backdrop for the hives. I like those bright red sugar maples! When do you start tapping your maples? My friend does that and told me about how the cold/warm cycles during the winter is what promotes the movement of sap up and down the tree. Interesting how it works...

I'm no expert, but I don't think that far south you have the warm/cold cycles to the extreme we have further north, plus-they have to be sugar maples. We tap in the very early spring as soon as the sap starts running.

    P.S. Great pics, Don.

Rail, the sap here is too thin to make syrup, but I have known beeks who tapped the trees and fed the sap to hives in early spring before any nectar was available.
