    I gave half the fish to the other guy on the boat.The half I kept we BBQed.About 10 lbs of meat.My favorite was the part done with mayonase and lemon pepper.It fed 12-15 people and we were all full.

    To answer your question tech, yes it's leagal.The ones you can't keep are natives.Hatchery fish have a clipped fin.And I didn't weigh it but I think it was a 30-35# hen.
