Well the swarm is still in deep box with 10 frames/foundations.
I put sugar water in the 4" shim on top. They don't seem to be eating eat. I just put a plate with sugar water on it just outside the entrance. They don't seem to be eating it either!
    I made the sugar water 1:1. 50/50.

That's kind of what I thought. I haven't had a swarm stay that long and then leave. But I'm very new to this also.

All my hives that have solid bottoms, have bees outside tonight, temps upper 80's

The ones with ventilated bottoms do not have bees outside tonight.

Hopefully it's the heat. Not much I can do. Sun isn't on the box.

Quit feeding and check them for space. It sounds like they may be getting crowded. If so, add a box.

What? Do your bees beard up and stay out all night?

    You mean like this?
I take it as a sign of a good, strong hive.
    I like to see it.
