We started some nucs from our favorite hives and went in to look for queens today. These gals look good and found lots and lots
    of eggs.

Thought I would share a few queen pictures.

I was thrilled to find these gals and see the eggs. Now it's feeding time and build them up for fall flow.

Absolutely great looking queens. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Were these queens you raised or produced in the nucs by your bees? Tom

I am just building nucs from my best hives and letting them handle it.

I tried my hand at raising some queens this year, with limited success. I will try again next year. Just had to much going on this year. Went from 7 to 16 hives. Plus our first harvest's. All but 4 have new queens (hatched out this summer) in them. The 4 with unknown queens are really great hives and sitting on farm land. They are going like gang busters. I am using them to build these nucs from.
