I am looking for someone to mentor me. I am interested in getting started in beekeeping. I live in Central Oregon and would appreciate talking to someone that lives near by. Thanks.

Locate and join a local beekeeping association, you will have access to mentors and to a wealth of information, especially about the stuff you dont need.

That's what I did, GBH, and it was the best spent few dollars I ever turned loose of. There is the so-called "wisdom of the ages" at my fingertips every day, and those folks take great pride in being of help....Another good thing is that these folks are not mired up to their necks in unshakable dogma----no sir!---They are on the front lines of all the new ideas being checked out. Lastly, they are just plain good folks, and it enriches my life just to know them and call them friend.
