Today was our first ever harvest. Now I know that it may seem a tiny amount but we harvested one deep frame of fully capped honey. About 4 pounds. For us it's a wonderful experience. There are about another twenty shallow frames all partially capped between the two hives which I intend to leave for the winter but we still have about another seven weeks left of the summer and the Ivy is just blooming.
Just wanted to share this with you. Thanks

thats great, I just took in a frame of capped honey yesterday, first of the season, I may take another few frames and leave plenty for the winter, I also fee them home made be fondant through the winter to supplement their food...

Thanks. It's amazing how good fresh honey tastes. Now I have an entire family asking for it.

That generally happens. And neighbors and vendors and the occasional customer......
