Picked up my first swarm of the year. Got the call saturday evening they had been there for 24 hrs. I waited until early sunday morning to go pick them up. Got a football sized swarm out of a redbud tree about 15 feet off the ground. Luckly I could park the truck bed under the swarm and put the step ladder in the bed to reach them. Got them home in a 5 frame nuc and putting sugar water to them. The guy said the hive had swarmed a week ago and left before he had a chance to call me. Im hoping i dont have a virgin queen since the window for her to mate is clouded with bad weather forcasts.
